How it works

Please read through our easy step-by-step guide below to learn how to dress the Choob Toob and ensure tubes and lines are kept clean, and reduce the risk of breakage or infection.

Step 1

Step 1

When dressing the line, ask your nurse to position the loose ends so they exit the bottom of the adhesive between the nipple and the lowest rib cage. We recommend sittig the line off-centre so that the child can be comfortable doing normal activities (like tummy time!).

Step 2

Step 2

Once in place, pull the front of the Choob Toob down to expose the small holes inside the pocket and thread the loose ends of the lines through the desired opening.

Step 3

Step 3

Pull Choob Toob up over the legs. The top should sit under the armpits and the bottom should cover the belly button. Choob Toob is designed to fit snugly to ensure it remains securely in position. It can be a little tricky to pull up - just like a pair of leggins - but it should not be constricting.

Step 4

Step 4

Position the line so it sits along the bottom of the pocket, over the softest part of the tummy. For maximum effectiveness, we recommend leaving the Choob Toob in place for 24 hours a day - it is comfortable enough to sleep in and the pocket allows for the daily line safety checks. Only remove the Choob Toob when you need to bathe the child (it is not waterproof) and replace weekly with a clean, washed Choob Toob when your nurses change the dressing or if it becomes dirty/soiled.
